Las Vegas ultimate is a really interesting mix of players from all over the place. As I write this, we have players originally from, Canada, California, Hawaii, Utah, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Oregon to name a few. If you’ve lived in Las Vegas for more than 5 years, then you’re basically a native Las Vegasan. Although, we do occasionally have the rare born and raised Nevadan.
As you can imagine, Las Vegas also attracts a number of visitors to the city who stop by for a pick up game during a vacation or work trip to Las Vegas.
Thanks to the hard work of Eric Wolf, Las Vegas hosts a tournament every year in December called Lucky 7′s. The tournament is well attended, well run and famous for amazing Las Vegas parties. Las Vegas is also home to Trouble in Vegas Open and Trouble in Vegas College which runs at the end of January and beginning of February.
You can play ultimate frisbee year round in Las Vegas, but many people usually are traveling around the Holidays and only play in the evenings during the summer. So, check out the Las Vegas ultimate pickup page to see when and where we’re playing. Also, sign up for the Las Vegas Ultimate Yahoo group to see all the chatter about ultimate frisbee in Las Vegas.
