Riding hot from 2011 and just not ready to cash in its chips, Trouble in Vegas returns for another year of good stories and bad choices.

Next week is the start of tournament week for summer League.  There are a few changes this week, so I thought I’d email out so everyone knew.  Air Bud and Justine can you make sure your teams know the details since I don’t have all their emails?  Thanks

Everyone show up at 7:30 on Monday (7/25) for games. Wednesday (7/27) come at 7:00 and stay for the party and giveaways at 8.

Everyone who comes will play!
Wednesday Games 7:00 (note the time change):
Championship game between winners of Monday night’s games.  Consolation game with the other 2 teams.  An hour game with a hard cap at 8:00.  We’ll have a League BBQ (JD’s cooking) at 8:00 before the lights go out at 9:15.  Everyone that can, give JD or myself $5+ for food.  The more we get, the better the food!  Bring out your friends and family.  Everyone’s welcome!

Just because league is over doesn’t mean ultimate in Las Vegas is over. Everyone is welcome at the ultimate pickup games which are laid back and a lot of fun.  Check out the Las Vegas ultimate frisbee pickup games for the regular list of pickup games and we’ll be posting the pickup games on the Las Vegas Ultimate Facebook group as well.

Tomorrow night will be the start to league games. Please bring a light and dark shirt since that’s how we’ll distinguish teams this first week. After that, each team captain can work with their team to choose a color. We will be playing games this first week so come ready to play.

Just try and sign up by Saturday morning so we can get you on a team.

We’ve finally been able to nail down some fields to hold an ultimate frisbee summer league with the City of Henderson. We don’t have much time to get everyone registered, but the online registration is really easy. You’ll find the easy sign up instructions below. Be sure to invite your friends to register as well. If you don’t care about the details, just go to the Henderson City page and sign up for Adult Ultimate Frisbee.

Dates: Mon and Wed from June 20,2011 – July 27, 2011. The last week will be a single elimination tournament. There won’t be any games on July 4th.
Time: 7:30-9:00PM – Everyone plays 1.5 hour games on 2 fields at the same time (we are expecting 4 teams)
Fields: Hailey Hendricks Park (map) in Henderson (a little bit out there, but the only field available)
Cost: Only $15
Teams: We’re planning for 4 teams.  We’ll be doing a draft for the teams at pickup before league starts, but if you have a preference to be on a team with someone or a group of people, feel free to shoot us an email and we’ll do our best to make it happen.  Our main goal is to have as even teams as possible so each game is competitive.
Teams will generally play 5-2 or 6-1 male-female format. Receiving team chooses.
Prizes: Winning team will be given a prize by Henderson City

Online: Unless you already have a Henderson City account, then you’ll need to register in person.

A bunch of us in Las Vegas Ultimate got together recently to talk about how to best handle summer league in Las Vegas and Henderson. We’ve decided to forgo going with the City of Henderson like we’ve done in the past and we’re planning to put together our own Las Vegas Ultimate Summer City League. Our plan is to start city league in June when many of the various college kids are back in town.

To get started, if you’re interested at all in playing Las Vegas ultimate frisbee summer league, then drop your name and email in the form below.
